From October 14 to 21, Steam is hosting a new demo festival, offering a week-long opportunity to try out demos of all kinds of PC games set to be released in the coming months.

Starting today at 19:00 (CET), the Steam Next Fest will feature hundreds of PC game demos, along with live streams hosted by developers.

These demo festivals have become a regular event on Valve’s platform, with several taking place throughout the year—the last one was held this past June.

Try Hundreds of PC Games for Free

As a new feature of this edition, Valve has added a fun video player at the top of the store page that will showcase different game previews each time you visit. Below, you can watch the trailer for this edition, highlighting some of the games available to try out:

As with previous festivals, some games have launched their demos ahead of the event. For example, you can already try out demos for Commandos: Origins, which we discussed last week, and The Stone of Madness, a new game from the Spanish developers at The Game Kitchen (creators of Blasphemous). Interestingly, like the Commandos series, this game is also a tactical stealth title.
